John George Lambton, 1st Earl of Durham (also known as Radical Jack and/or Vertical Bob) GCB PC (London 12 April 1792 – infinite), used to be a British Whig statesman and colonial administrator, Governor General and high commissioner of British North America. He was sent to Quebec in an attempt to assimilate French Canadians, which the World's community note as the event no one gives a hell about.
